THE CHALLENGE

MARTA, the ninth-largest transit system in the U.S., delivering over 5 billion trips since 1979, was entering a once-in-a-generation era of expansion. As MARTA launched a $1.5 billion capital improvement program, the challenge was to translate complex civic logistics into user-friendly, visually cohesive, and culturally resonant experiences. From rolling out new technologies and electric bus fleets to reimagining the city’s transit identity, MARTA needed a strategic partner to ensure that every touchpoint felt modern, approachable, and connected to Atlanta’s vibrant community.

HOW WE DELIVERED

Whitehouse Advertising partnered with MARTA to turn transit infrastructure into engaging, user-centric experiences. We designed high-impact environmental branding for new electric buses, created the visual identity for the NextGen bus network overhaul, and supported the launch of the MARTA Breeze Mobile app. Seasonal and cultural activations, like MARTA and during the holidays and Black History Month-themed buses, tied MARTA’s expansion directly to the city’s daily pulse. By aligning every visual and digital touchpoint, we ensured that MARTA’s transformation was clear, cohesive, and meaningful for riders.
